Mushroom bread recipe



Recipe for mushroom bread in our easy appetizer recipes collection.

Recipe ingredients

  • 1 small loaf white bread
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 scallion, finely chopped

How to make mushroom bread

  • Saute mushrooms in butter.
  • Add in lemon juice, heavy cream, salt, garlic powder, flour and scallions.
  • Cook until cramy and thick.
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Remove mushroom mixture from stove.
  • Dip bread into mixture on both side.
  • Place on cookie sheet and bake on each side for 5 to 8 minutes.
